Hot-gluin' fool!

Since I've recently acquired a hot glue gun (it was my Mamaw Jones'), I've been desperate for things to hot-glue/craft. My last project was the sushi magnets, and that was a couple of weeks ago. So I went through my many junk drawers and found something I got when I was 16. A string of rhinestones that was originally purchased to spruce up my prom heels. I think they were purchased at Hancock Fabrics for about 6 bucks at the time. I've had the extra strands for all these years, and never had anything to put them on. Until last night. Heh heh heh.

My daughter has a plain black headband that she sometimes wears when she's tired of her other ones. They're kind of necessary right now because she took it upon herself to cut her own hair 4 days before the start of this school year, so headbands are a must until her hair grows back out.

Anyway, the headband is just plain black, with polyester (I think?) covering it. It's not hard plastic on the outside is what I mean. So I put 2 and 2 together and thought, "Hey, these rhinestones would be PERFECT for that. So I measured and cut the extra strands I had so they'd fit on the headband, and went to town with my hot-glue gun. Ooooohweeeee!!!

Here is what I had to work with.

And this is the finished product.

I haven't gotten any pics of her wearing it yet, but she LOVED it! Now, to find something else to hot glue.. Lol.
